The following rules will remain unchanged, unless the opinion of the tournament officials would warrant an addition or change that would further the concept of fairness to all.  Interpretation of these rules shall be left exclusively to the tournament officials.  The decision of the tournament officials shall be final in all matters.

 

1.        Participation and Eligibility – The event is open to one adult and one child per team.  A properly completed and signed entry form and the $30.00 pre-registration boat entry fee must be received by day of tournament before you fish. ($35.00 day of tournament)

2.        Safety – Safe boating conduct must be observed at all times.  Chest type life preservers must be worn when outboard is running and working kill switch must be attached to the operator.

3.        Sportsmanship – Competitors are expected to follow high standards of sportsmanship courtesy and safety conservation.

4.        Permitted fishing location and time – No fishing within 50 yards of the official launch site, or 50 yards of another tournament boat that is anchored.  All fishing and landing fish must be done in tournament waters during the tournament day.  Both competitors must remain on the boat at all times except in the case of any emergency.  Fishing time 6:30am to 12:00noon.

5.        Official check point – There shall be only one official check point for checkout at take off and check in at weigh-ins.  That point will be designated at the pre-tournament briefing.

6.        Check-in  - Competitors must be at the official launch be the end of the tournament day.  The official time keeper time is final.  If your boat is not at the launch as the official time, you will be disqualified.  You must weigh in your fish before taking your boat out of the water.

7.     Scoring – Tournament winnings will be determined by the pound and ounce weight of each boat’s catch for the day.  Only large mouth and small mouth, and spotted bass will be weighed.  The limit is 5 bass, 12” long closed mouth Golden Rule. If fish is short you will lose that fish + (2) lb penalty.  If more than 5 bass are brought to the weigh-in, the tournament officials shall cut the largest bass down to the 5 fish limit.

8.        Live Bass – Dead Bass – Conservation be keeping all bass alive and released back into the lake is very important to this event and its sponsors.  Every effort will be made to release the bass.  There will be a .20 penalty for all dead fish.

9.        Bait – Only artificial bait is to be used.

10.     Total Scoring – The total weight of each name team for the days fishing will determine the winners.  In case of a tie for first place there will be a sudden death fish off between the tied teams, under the direction and special rules as may be established by the tournament officials.

11.     None of the above rules shall prohibit a properly designated tournament official from approaching or boarding any competitors boat at any time during the tournament day.

12.     All prize winners must be present for the weigh-in.  If not present, you will be disqualified.

Violation of any of the above rules shall be reason for the guilty contestant to be disqualified from the tournament.
